If you love baseball, live in Hendricks County and want to enjoy a family-friendly event where kids eat free, you won’t want to miss Hendricks County Family Day with the Indianapolis Indians at Victory Field on June 23.

For an 11th consecutive year, the Indianapolis Indians have teamed up with Hendricks County sponsors to provide two-for-one tickets for all residents; but for the first-time ever, the event will be held on a weekend instead of the traditional weeknight game.

The buy-one-get-one-free vouchers for the 1:35 p.m. game on Sunday, June 23, against the Charlotte Knights, the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, can be picked up at any one of the three Hendricks County sponsors: Metropolis Mall guest services booth, Hendricks Regional Health or the Visit Hendricks County office in Danville.

“We are so excited that we were able to have this event during a weekend day game this year to hopefully provide an opportunity for more Hendricks County families to enjoy Indians baseball,” said Lance Angle, general manager of Metropolis Mall. “We are proud supporters of this day because it is such a great community event.”

The certificates can be exchanged at the Indians Box Office for tickets prior to or on the day of the event. Guests can choose from $10 outfield lawn seats, $11 reserved or $15 box seats.

New this year, the discounted offer also is available when purchasing tickets online by using the promo code: “Hendricks” at www.IndyIndians.com.

“The Indianapolis Indians have long appreciated the support we have received from the civic and business leaders of Hendricks County,” said Cal Burleson, vice president and general manager of the Indianapolis Indians. “Our thanks to Metropolis Mall, Hendricks Regional Health and Visit Hendricks County for providing this wonderful opportunity to Hendricks County residents.”

In addition to the buy-one-get-one-free offer, children 14 and under receive a voucher for a free hot dog, bag of chips and a bottle of water when they arrive at the ballpark.

Also, be sure to stop by the Metropolis Mall and Hendricks Regional Health booths in center field prior to the game for special goodies and chances to win prizes.
