January 04, 2012 No commentsThe other first round matchup took place at Tri-West as the host Bruins were led by Matt Tucker’s 18 points and cruised to a 73-47 over visiting Cascade.
Tri-West (4-4) jumped out to an early 17-10 lead after the first period and never looked back. The Bruins led by 16 points at the half and by 25 points heading in to the final period.
The Bruins Austin and Jake Hendershot also scored in double figures with 13 and 10 points respectively. Trevor Waite also chipped in with 11 points.
Alex Arthur led the Cadets (6-3) with 13 points and Jeffery Hopper had 11 points.
Tri-West hit seven three pointers in the game and shot well from the free-throw line converting 18 off 22 attempts.
Tri-West moves on to play Avon (5-6) Thursday night in Danville. Tip-off is set for 6:00 PM. Cascade will play Plainfield on Saturday in the fifth place game. Tip-off is at 10:00 AM at Danville High School.
