Town of Brownsburg’s free curbside leaf pickup begins Monday
September 30, 2011 No commentsThe Town of Brownsburg’s Street Department starts curbside leaf pick-up during the week of October 3. Residents may put leaves in recyclable paper bags behind the curb edge to take advantage of this free Town service.
The bag should be closed securely and be light enough for one person to lift. Sticks, limbs, shrubs, dirt, trash, or other items should not be bagged with the leaves. The pickup route runs Monday through Thursday, every other week of the month. This is the same schedule the chipper truck runs. Limb pickup ends the week of October 17 and leaf pickup continues through the end of November.
No call is necessary to request limb or leaf pickup. The crew will collect according to the following schedule:
Monday: Holloway Pointe, Holloway Ridge, Holloway Corner, Winbridge Landing, Winding Creek, Green Street Village, Whittington Estates, Lake Ridge, Northridge, Fountains of Northridge, Arbors of Northridge, Northridge Estates, and Mardale Estates.
Tuesday: Arbor Springs, Summer Ridge, Murphy Meadows, Austin Meadows, Willow Springs, Sunny Knoll, Hartford Park, and The Hideaway.
Wednesday: Prairie Village, Chadwick Square, Cedar Run, Cedar Run Lakes, Sugar Bush Farms, Hunters Cove, and Thornburg.
Thursday: Ashwood, Hornaday Heights, Ironwood Estates, Country Walk, Creekside Commons, Fairfield Heights, Meadowchase, Lincoln Pointe, Beacon Pointe, Holiday Pines, Bersot Crossing, and Fox Chase.
Friday is a make-up day in the case that weather or other factors delay the regular schedule. Collection times may vary, so it is recommended that leaf bags be along the curb by 7 a.m. on the neighborhood’s scheduled pickup day.
