• Town of Brownsburg asks customers to conserve water

    June 18, 2012 No comments

The Town of Brownsburg  Water Department is asking customers to be responsible when using water resources this week, due to the high heat and extended lack of rain. Increased water demand can leave some customers experiencing periods of low water pressure.

Customers are being asked to voluntarily stop or reduce lawn watering to every other day. To help spread out the demand for water and reduces stress on the system, residents who live at an odd-numbered address should consider ONLY watering on odd-numbered calendar days, and those who live at an even-numbered address should ONLY water the lawn on even-numbered days.

Cutting lawn-watering activities will help the utility maintain adequate water pressure for customers and firefighting activities. The Town is also asking customers to conserve water in other daily activities such as washing dishes or clothes, or bathing and brushing teeth. The Town will reevaluate this request to cut lawn watering activities next Monday.
