• Town of Brownsburg advises residents to plan alternate routes with school starting tomorrow

    August 09, 2011 No comments

With students returning to school this week, the Town of Brownsburg reminds residents to plan alternate routes of travel around the capital improvement projects currently underway on State Road 267 and Grant Street.

State Road 267 remains closed between Tilden and Thornleigh while the Town replaces old drinking water pipes and sanitary sewers. Residents should also expect the road to be closed to through traffic on weekdays between Tilden and Highway 136. The utility project is expected to be complete by the end of September.

Grant Street is closed from 56th south to 136 for the northside drainage project. Residents should expect the Grant Street intersections at Enderly, Rodney, Douglas, and East Trevor to be closed at times through the project and plan to enter the Murphy Meadows area neighborhoods from the east.

Local travelers should anticipate traffic delays and use alternate routes around these projects. Use the Northfield Drive East to CR 400/Airport Road detour for the most efficient travel to Brownsburg public schools.
