The National Weather Service is working to determine the strength of a tornado that hit outside of New Ross on Tuesday night.

Two homes were damaged and a barn was destroyed on County Road 500 South, just outside of the Montgomery County town of New Ross. Four power poles were also snapped.

Electric company crews worked overnight and were still working Wednesday morning to try to clean up and repair the poles.

No one was injured, despite the path of destruction. Trees were tossed and debris was scattered when the storm moved through around 7:45 p.m. Storm spotters captured video of the storm.

County Road 500 South in the area of damage was expected to be closed until noon.
