• Speedway man dies during home invasion

    The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating an early-morning shooting that killed a 43-year-old Indianapolis man.

    Police received a report about a person shot around 3:30 a.m. in the 3900 block of Kalmar Drive, just north of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

    Mark Fuller, of Indianapolis, died at the scene. Police believe he and his girlfriend were sleeping when three masked men forced their way into the house, demanded money and fired shots, striking Fuller, according to a police department news release.

    Police said that two teenage children, who were also at the house, and his girlfriend were unharmed.
