Silver Alert cancelled after Bloomington woman found dead
January 24, 2012 No commentsSouthern Indiana police say they don’t suspect foul play in the death of a Bloomington woman whose body was found near a creek following a daylong search.
Bloomington Police Department Lt. Bill Parker says 57-year-old Diane Singleton’s body was found about 5:30 p.m. Monday at the bottom of a hill near a creek about one mile from her home.
Singleton’s husband called police about 4:30 a.m. Monday reporting that his wife had left their home and was wearing a sweater and possibly no shoes. Police later issued a Silver Alert for Singleton stating that she might be disoriented and require immediate medical attention.
The Herald-Times reports that police led search teams in searches of ever-larger areas around the Singleton home until her body was found.
