Calls on All Americans to Thank Servicemen and Women

Washington, D.C. –Today, Congressman Todd Rokita walked the World War II Memorial with Hoosier veterans visiting with Honor Flight, a non-profit organization that flies veterans to Washington at no cost to see the memorials created in their honor.

“The stories our veterans tell aren’t something we can always hear, sometimes we have to see it through their emotions when they’re at the memorials in Washington. I was honored to see the stories of so many Hoosier veterans today as they visited their memorials. These men and women put everything on the line for our country. They deserve our thanks and admiration,” said Congressman Todd Rokita. “I am proud to be here supporting our veterans.”

Also as a member of Congress, I am fighting to make sure our veterans receive the care they deserve.”

“As we head into Memorial Day, I hope all Americans will take the time to honor our servicemen and women as well as their families. They should always be thanked, but especially this weekend,” concluded Rokita.
