• Register for the Brownsburg April 14 Spring Clean-up

    March 26, 2012 No comments

Help keep our community clean! Register a team to participate in the spring clean-up. Teams will be assigned to a location or you can choose to clean up your own neighborhood or business grounds. Priority locations are any areas draining directly to a waterway.

This is a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and help maintain our quality of life. Team leaders will meet at Town Hall at 9 a.m. to pick up gloves, trash bags, and other supplies. Plan to provide completed waiver forms at that time. Teams need to register by Monday, April 2.

When you volunteer to pick up litter at the Spring Clean-up, you are helping the Town keep polluted stormwater runoff from reaching our waterways, where it can hurt fish, plants and wildlife and it has the potential to affect our drinking water sources. Since 2008, more than 246,000 pounds of trash have been collected by Spring Clean-up volunteers — everything from fast food wrappers and plastic shopping bags to TVs and air conditioners! Sign up online today at www.brownsburg.org.
