• Prayer vigil Saturday for missing Plainfield man

    Friends and family of a missing Plainfield man will hold a prayer vigil to mark the six month anniversary of his disappearance.

    27 year old Morgan Johnson was last seen leaving his room at the Value Place Motel on Gateway Drive around 11:45 p.m. May 18. His 1995 white, Pontiac Grand Am is also missing. The car bears license plate JS1830. Johnson was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, a sweater and blue jeans.

    The vigil will be held at the Value Place Motel, 6296 Gateway Blvd., at 7 p.m. Nov. 19. Johnson’s pastor, Dr. Phillip L. Shobe, will officiate the ceremony.

    A Silver Alert was issued shortly after Johnson’s disappearance. Johnson suffers from a seizure disorder and may not have any medication with him.

    Johnson has not made any phone calls on his cell phone or made any financial transactions since his disappearance.

    His parent’s have offered a $2,000 reward for any new information leading to Johnson’s discovery.
