Plainfield Correctional Officer arrested after attempting to give tobacco to offender
June 20, 2012 No commentsA correctional officer was arrested Tuesday morning after attempting to deliver drugs to an offender in his facility.
Correctional Officer William Pittman was arrested at the Plainfield Correctional Facility by Indiana Department of Correction Police. He was attempting to deliver over five ounces of tobacco to an offender in the facility.
Pittman was charged with trafficking tobacco and official misconduct.
Pittman was transported to the Hendricks County Jail. He had been employed at the facility since August 2011.
