Plainfield 60, Westfield 55 – Girls High School Basketball
January 18, 2012 No commentsThe Lady Quakers overcame a slow start on the road but put together a strong second half to defeat Westfield 60-55.
Plainfield (13-4) trailed 26-20 after the first 16 minutes of play but came out of the locker room for the second half and outscored the Lady Shamrocks 21-16 in the third quarter to cut the deficit to a single point trailing Westfield (10-6) 42-41 going in to the final quarter. The Quakers continued their strong run in the final period for the five point win.
Plainfield had three players score in double figures with Lesley Fisher leading the Quakers with 22 points. Kasey Johnson had 14 points and Mackenzie Motter finished with 11 points.
Carmel’s Jenn Anderson led all scorers with 29 points.
