January 04, 2012 No commentsPlainfield’s Kasey Jordan had a game high 24 points and teammate Lesley Fisher scored 20 points of her own as the host Quakers raced by Danville 81-33 in first round action of the Girls Hendricks County Tournament.
Plainfield (10-3) jumped out to an early 25-6 lead after the first eight minutes of play and led 44-14 going in to the locker room at the half. The Lady Quakers continued to apply the pressure limiting Danville (2-11) to only 12 field goals made in the contest.
Morgan Bear led the Lady Warriors with 14 points and Meghan Gerdts contributed with 8 points.
Plainfield advances to the winner’s bracket as the tournament shifts to Danville High School where the Lady Quakers will have a rematch with the top 25 Brownsburg Bulldogs on Friday night at 7:30 PM. Plainfield upset Brownsburg 53-50 at Plainfield back on December 14th.
