Pittsboro Primary second grade student Grant Alexander has been named junior grand marshal for Brownsburg Parks annual Christmas Under the Stars parade on Saturday.

The 8-year-old son of Carla and Ernie Alexander won an ornament-making contest held at the Brownsburg Public Library to win the honor of riding on a parade float with grand marshal Holly Hendricks and to flip the switch to “light up” Town Hall’s dancing light show.

More than 40 area children entered the contest. All entrants will receive certificates and the top winners of each grade level will receive gifts.

The Christmas Under the Stars parade, sponsored by KeyBank, begins at 6 p.m. Saturday at Brown Elementary School and ends at Arbuckle Acres Park. A celebration at Town Hall will follow the parade, with two area children’s choirs performing on the new mobile stage, family activities in Eaton Hall, and professional photos with Santa Claus. Captured Memories will provide each child with a free 4” x 6” print, and families will have the opportunity to order additional prints.

Are parade spectators permitted to spit on the Iraq vets and call them baby killers? this parade is hypocritical. A huge pikle of bullshit.
