• Pacers acquire Barbosa from Toronto

    The Indiana Pacers announced Thursday they have acquired 6-3, 194-pound guard Leandro Barbosa from the Toronto Raptors in exchange for a second-round draft pick and cash considerations.

    Barbosa is in his ninth NBA season. He had played in 42 games for the Raptors, averaging 12.2 points per game. In his career, he has averaged 12.6 ppg and has shot 46 percent. He averaged a career-high 18.1 ppg with Phoenix in 2006-07.

    Born In Sao Paulo, Brazil, the 29-year-old Barbosa was a first-round pick of the San Antonio Spurs (28th overall) in the 2003 NBA Draft and traded to the Suns on draft night. Toronto acquired him in a trade July 14, 2010, from Phoenix.
