    January 14, 2013 No comments

A crash involving a tractor-trailer and a car closed down traffic lanes on Interstate 74 in Hendricks County Sunday night.

The crash prompted the closure of all eastbound lanes near State Road 267 for four hours.

The female driver of the semi says her tire blew, causing her trailer to veer off toward the passenger car.

The vehicle spun out and hit the middle guardrail on the interstate. The male driver, who is from Franklin, was ejected. The Brownsburg Police Department say he was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in critical condition.

Police say that drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the crash however they do not rule out the possibility of some slick conditions on the highway.
