The boy’s basketball coach at Martinsville High School plans to retire after he was arrested Sunday on a public indecency charge in Indianapolis.

A police report says that 65 year old Tim Wolf of Martinsville, was found “in a state of nudity” in his car at Eagle Creek Park about 3:50 Sunday afternoon.

A probable cause affidavit indicated that a 17-year-old girl, also from Martinsville, was in the passenger seat of the car, with Wolf in the driver’s seat.

The arresting officer said that he saw “suspicious movements from the passenger” when he first saw the car and saw that Wolf had exposed himself.

Police say the incident happened about 40 feet from a playground, and Wolf’s nudity was visible from outside the car.

Wolf’s car was towed, and the girl was taken to her vehicle, which had been left in a nearby parking lot.

In a statement released Monday afternoon, Martinsville Schools Superintendent Ron Furniss said Wolf would retire effective immediately, pending school board approval.

Wolf had been a teacher and coach at the school for 25 years.
