Man shoots self during morning raid
December 22, 2011 No commentsA gunshot rang out this morning as a US Marshal’s task force served an arrest warrant at an Indianapolis south side motel.
An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson said that the subject of the warrant shot himself just before 8 a.m.
The taskforce heard the shot being fired as they made entry into a room at the Traveler’s Inn at 4950 S. East Street.
The man, who has yet to be publicly identified, was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. Police say he was wanted in connection with several Madison County burglaries.
