Pat Lowrey has been hired as the head baseball coach at Brownsburg High School. The hiring was made at Monday’s board of trustees meeting. Lowery was introduced at a “Meet the Coach” night at Brownsburg High School last night.

Lowrey was the winning pitcher for McCutcheon in the 1999 Class 4A state championship and played at Ball State for Greg Beals, who is currently the head coach at Ohio State and Rich Maloney the head coach of Michigan.

Lowrey was an assistant at McCutcheon and West Lafayette Harrison before taking the head coaching position at Delphi in 2008. He guided Delphi to a 2A runner-up finish in 2010.

Lowrey replaces Wayne Johnson, who led the team to 19 wins and a sectional title as the program’s interim head coach last season.
