• Local organization to offer a wide variety of programs for children and adults in 2012

    Misty Eyes Dog Shelter & Learning Center is offering unique programs for both children and adults in Central Indiana. The organization is currently working to build a facility that will house their no-kill dog shelter and their learning center, in the mean time they run a foster program and will offer classes at a variety of locations throughout Central Indiana.

    Misty Eyes is offering to visit classrooms, clubs, organizations or businesses. Their community classes are free of charge. They also offer recreational classes that any dog lover will surely enjoy. President and Co-Founder Renee Harlor says, “Misty Eyes Dog Shelter & Learning Center is dedicated to creating a better community by helping pets and educating people”.

    Some of these titles include “Dogs In Pop Culture”, “The History Of Dogs” and “All About The Breed”, the cost of these classes is between $10 and $30 per person and all proceeds benefit the shelter and learning center. Misty Eyes Dog Shelter is dedicated to improving the lives of dogs in Hendricks County by providing compassionate shelter, care and adoption services for homeless and unwanted dogs.

    Their Learning Center is being designed to serve all of Central Indiana. They will provide a variety of courses at their facility as well as offer programs at off-site community locations.

    In addition they will provide numerous community outreach programs including “LUHY”, a program designed to provide seniors and those facing life altering changes with options for the care and future of their beloved pets.
