One man is dead and another is in custody after a serious accident involving a motorcycle and a Honda passenger car, according to a release from the Indiana State Police.

The car, driven by 24-year-old Kevin Scott Davis, was traveling at high speeds on west-bound I-465 just before 11:30 Sunday night. The vehicle struck the motorcycle, which was traveling at the designated speed limit.

The motorcycle was thrown about 200 yards, and the Honda hit a wall to the left at least twice.

The motorcycle driver, 41-year-old Todd Klebes, was pronounced dead on site.

Officers arrested Davis, who was not injured, for operating while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury or death, a class B felony.

Traffic on I-465 was diverted several hours while police investigated the scene. The interstate was reopened just after 3 a.m. Monday morning.
