A California woman who says she has breast cancer had her medical marijuana taken from her in Indianapolis Tuesday afternoon, according to an Indianapolis Airport Police Department report.

Airport police were notified of the situation around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. A Transportation Safety Administration, or TSA, employee found the marijuana and a black pipe inside a pink glasses case in the woman’s luggage.

The 36-year-old woman said she was a medical marijuana patient because of her breast cancer. She showed TSA and airport police her ID card showing she was allowed to have the marijuana.

Police told the woman her marijuana was legal in California but not Indiana. The drugs and pipe were confiscated so they could be destroyed.

    No arrests were made.
