• Indiana now lone state to ban Sunday alcohol sales

Indiana will soon be the only state banning alcohol sales on Sundays.

Connecticut lawmakers have passed a law that allows customers to buy alcohol at stores on Sundays between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., the New Haven Register reported.

State Sen. Paul Doyle said the new law, which is expected to bring in an additional $5 million a year for the state, brings Connecticut into the 21st century.

Gov. Dannel Malloy is expected to sign the bill.

Efforts to overturn Indiana’s ban on Sunday sales have failed to make progress at the Statehouse in recent years.
