• Indiana Ice Begin Season Saturday

The Indiana Ice will begin the USHL Tier 1 hockey season this Saturday when they play the Muskegon Lumberjacks at 7:15 p.m. at the LC Walker Arena in Muskegon.

Ice head coach Charlie Skjodt returns to the bench for Indiana this year after a two year hiatus. He replaces Jeff Blashill who led Indy to a 2009 Clark Cup Championship and an East Division Finals appearance last season.  Skjodt was no slouch behind the bench in his first stint as he led the Ice to the 2007 Final Four and followed that run with a 2008 East Division Championship and a franchise-best 22-4-4 mark at home.

The Ice ended a five-game preseason slate with a 3-1-1 record including a 2-1-0 mark at last weekend’s Fall Classic in Sioux City, IA.

Indiana’s home opener will be Saturday October 9th at the Pepsi Coliseum against the Sioux Falls Stampede with a face-off of 7:05 p.m.
