• Ice Look to Sweep Waterloo Out of Playoffs Tonight

The Indiana Ice look to sweep their best-of-three first round series of the USHL playoffs when the Waterloo Black Hawks return to the St.Vincent Sports Rink at the Pepsi Coliseum tonight. The puck is set to drop at 7:05 pm.

Thursday night’s playoff opener against Waterloo started slow, but Indy rebounded by scoring three goals in the second period on the way to a 4-0 shutout. Casey DeSmith was bulletproof in net, stopping all 38 Black Hawk shots while Dan Cesarz, Brian Ferlin, David Johnstone and Blake Coleman provided the goal scoring.

The Ice leads the best-of-three series 1-0 and will advance to the Eastern Conference semi-finals against the Green Bay Gamblers with a win tonight. If Waterloo wins, both teams would play again on Sunday (4/17) at 3:05 pm from Pepsi Coliseum to decide who advances to the next round.

Get to the Pepsi Coliseum early tonight as the first 500 fans will receive free Indiana Ice playoff rally towels courtesy of Ivy Tech.
