• Hendricks Power Marks 75th Anniversary

    Hendricks Power Cooperative will host its annual meeting and breakfast April 16 at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds and Conference Center in Danville.

    All Hendricks Power members are invited to attend to celebrate the co-op’s 75th anniversary. Members are asked to bring their invitation with them to verify membership and enter them into drawings for various door prizes.

    Member registration and breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. Booths and displays will be open, including free health screenings by Hendricks Regional Health, until the official business meeting begins at 9:30 a.m.

    Everyone attending will have the opportunity to vote for board of director candidates in areas four, five, and six, as well as have several opportunities to win energy credits and other prize drawings. The grand prize for this year’s meeting will be a Simplicity Regent lawn tractor.

    Members in attendance will also receive a $5 energy credit and goodie bag with a special gift from the co-op (only one credit and gift per household).

    Directors and management from Hendricks Power will present the cooperative’s business affairs, with a focus on the history of electric co-ops. CEO Donnis Mizelle will give an overview of what’s happening in the utility industry and share insight as to how Hendricks Power has been proactive.
