• Hendricks County Young Republicans to host Judge Candidates on February 26

    February 17, 2014 No comments

The Hendricks County Young Republicans look forward to welcoming Hendricks County’s Republican candidates for judge to speak at their Wednesday, February 26th meeting, which will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Buffalo Wild Wings located at 9875 E. US 36 in Avon.

Eight candidates have filed between the two judicial offices up for election on the May Republican primary ballot. Paul Hadley, Rhett Stuard and Herb Witham are seeking the seat left open by Superior Court 2 Judge David Coleman, who is retiring at the end of his current term. 55th Circuit Court Judge Jeffrey Boles has also announced his retirement from the bench, and Suzanne Conger, Annie Fierek, Mark O’Hara, Eric Oliver and Dan Zielinski are seeking that seat.

“It’s rare to have two judicial open seats at the same time,” said Hendricks County YR Chairman Ethan Lawson. “This may not happen again for another decade or longer, so this is a great opportunity to see all the candidates in one place. We’re looking forward to hearing the perspective that each one of them brings to the table. Bring a friend and come be part of the fun!”

The Hendricks County Young Republicans’ monthly events are free and open to all ages, and non-alchoholic drinks and appetizers are provided.
