• Hendricks County Project Lifesaver Recognized

    February 16, 2011 No comments

Project Lifesaver is being honored at the Indiana Pacers’ game on February 23, 2011 as an Indiana Hero. We would like everyone to come out and support Project Lifesaver and the Indiana Pacers.

Project Lifesaver is a proactive response to identify those individuals within the community who have a propensity to wander and not be able to return home. This program consists of a small radio transmitter that the client wears on their wrist or ankle. Project Lifesaver deploys specially trained personnel with radio receivers to quickly locate and return wandering adults and children to their families and caregivers.

Hendricks County Project Lifesaver is just one of a number of organizations within the State of Indiana that provides the national Project Lifesaver Program.  Hendricks County Project Lifesaver is a county wide program benefiting the people of Hendricks County.   Currently, Hendricks County Project Lifesaver has 31 clients.  The program is open to any person with a tendency to wander off.  This includes people with Alzheimer and Autism.
