    Brownsburg 35, Noblesville 7

    Bulldogs senior running back Tyler Hudson rushed for a pair of touchdowns and senior Chase Dutra scored a pair of his own including a 44 yard punt return for a touchdown to lead Brownsburg to a 35-7 victory at Noblesville.

    For Dutra, it was his second punt return for a touchdown in as many games. Freshman running back Toks Akinribade also added a 5 yard touchdown run.

    The Bulldogs now have a record of 2-0 and will have their home opener this Friday against Hamilton Southeastern. The Royals defeated rival Fishers Friday night 28-21.

    5A – #8 Avon 24, Westfield 20

    For the second consecutive week the Avon Orioles needed a last-second score to come away with a victory as Richie Steinmetz connected on a 23 yard touchdown pass to Anthony Green with 24 seconds remaining in the game to give the Orioles a 24-20 victory over Westfield.

    Orioles senior running back Cody Baker rushed the ball 25 times for 142 yards and a touchdown.

    Plainfield 17, 5A – #16 Kokomo 14

    After upsetting class 5A Kokomo last year at Plainfield, the Quakers made the return trip to Kokomo Friday night in hopes of repeating last season success. Quakers senior quarterback Jake Jay threw for 145 yards including a 76 yard touchdown pass to Chad Middleton as the Quakers knocked off the 16th ranked Wildkats 17-14.

    Senior running back Auggie Blevins carried the ball 27 times for 109 yards.

    Monrovia 49, Cascade 6

    The Monrovia Bulldogs had little trouble with Cascade as Monrovia racked up 345 yards of offense in sending the Cadets to their second defeat of the season by the score of 49-6. Eric Bobadilla was on the receiving end of a 28 yard touchdown pass from Colin Smith for the Cadets lone score of the game.

    Danville 51, Crawfordsville 27

    Autry Pickens rushed for four touchdowns and Jackson Butler added a pair of touchdowns on the ground as well to lead Danville to a 51-27 win over Crawfordsville at Lucas oil Stadium Saturday.

    The Warriors trailed at halftime 21-20 but scored 21 unanswered points in the third quarter to blow the game wide open.

    Tri-West 14, South Putnam 13

    Tri-West rallied to defeat South Putnam 14-13 Saturday at Lucas oil Stadium. The win improves the Bruins record to 1-1 on the season.
