    Cascade 65, Indianapolis Ritter 47

    Cascade used a fast start to lead by 19 at the half as the Lady Cadets defeated Cardinal Ritter on the road 65-47. Cascade (5-2) made 7 3-pointers on the night in their win over the Raiders (4-3). Cascade will host South Putnam Friday night.

    Plainfield 58, Covenant Christian 35

    Plainfield used a strong second half to extend an eight point halftime lead over Covenant Christian on their way to a 58-35 victory at home. The Quakers (5-2) outscored the Warriors (3-4) 20-12 in the third quarter and 11-4 in the final period. The Quakers will next play at Terre Haute South on Saturday with a 1:30 PM scheduled tip-off.

    Greencastle 39, Danville 38

    Danville kept things close with visiting Greencastle last night as the Lady Warriors trailed by only 1 point at the half. The Tiger Cubs held a 22-21 lead at halftime and went on to outscore Danville 10-3 in the third quarter to open up an 8 point lead heading in to the fourth period. Danville rallied in the fourth quarter but it wasn’t enough as the Lady Warriors lost a heartbreaker 39-38. Danville (1-7) will play at Southmont on Friday.

    Mooresville 50, Avon 42

    Visiting Mooresville built up an early lead and managed to hold off a late Avon rally as the Pioneers defeated the Lady Orioles 50-42. Avon (2-4) used a 17-7 fourth quarter to try and cut in to an 18 poit deficit entering the fourth quarter but Mooresville’s (5-3) lead was too great. Avon next contest will be at McCutcheon on Saturday in a HCC matchup. The Mavericks are currently ranked #5 in the state. Tip-off is set for 12:30.

    Tri-West 59, North Putnam 32

    Tri-West had little problem on their home court as the defeated North Putnam 59-32. The Bruins (4-2) led by 18 at the half and shut down the Cougars (2-6) offense limiting them to on 12 field goals in the game. Nest up for the Bruins is a home game against North Montgomery tomorrow night.
