Grandparents ejected from mall for taking pic of 5 year-old grandson
December 23, 2011 No commentsA northern Indiana shopping mall wants to apologize to a couple escorted off the premises for taking a photograph of their five-year-old grandson in violation of posted rules.
The South Bend Tribune reports that University Park Mall manager Steve Kempe wants to talk to Deb Cassella and husband Don Oberhol about what happened Tuesday.
The couple says they were bringing their grandson to see Santa when they took a photo of him sitting at a food court table. They say a mall employee told them that no photographs are allowed inside the Mishawaka mall. Oberloh thought the employee was joking and laughed. He says that made the employee angry. Mall security was called and they were escorted out.
The couple says they don’t hold a grudge.
