• Foster families get in free at Children’s Museum

    July 18, 2011 No comments

Indiana foster families can visit one of the nation’s top children’s museums for free on Wednesday.

The Indiana Department of Child Services and the Indianapolis Colts are sponsoring the free visits to The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis on the city’s near north side.

Five thousand licensed foster families care for nearly 10,000 Indiana children currently in foster care because of abuse or neglect.

Licensed foster parents also can register for free one-year memberships to the museum.

People who aren’t foster parent can save $3 off admission to the museum Wednesday by donating new or gently used books for the Books for Youth program for foster kids.
