• Former IU great Antwaan Randle El announces retirement from pro football

    Antwaan Randle El, who set school records at Indiana for career passing yards and total offense, has officially decided to retire from professional football.

    Randle El spent nine seasons with Pittsburgh and Washington, and won a Super Bowl ring with the Steelers. He made his announcement at a football camp he was hosting Monday in Bloomington.

    He is expected to work the upcoming football season as an analyst with the Big Ten Network as well as with the Redskins broadcast team during preseason games.

    Randle El earned a degree in Sports Communication at IU.

    Randle El is IU’s all-time passing leader with 7,469 yards and is second in school history in rushing yards with 3,895. Only Anthony Thompson had more rushing yards at IU.
