The Indiana Fever set three franchise records and just missed three others in closing the first half of the season with a 100-72 rout of the Tulsa Shock at Conseco Fieldhouse.

The Fever set team records with 35 points in the second quarter, 38 field goals made and 50 points from their bench. Their 100 points, 56 first-half points and 54.3 percent shooting from the field were all season-highs and came up just short of franchise records.
Unlike the last meeting between the teams, which the Shock won, this one was over by halftime. The Fever led 19-18 late in the first quarter, and outscored Tulsa 37-16 the rest of the half.

Tamika Catchings, who will play for the national team Saturday, led the Fever with 24 points.

Shavonte Zellous had 16 points and Briann January pitched in 13 points off the bench for Indiana .

Tulsa’s bench also scored 50 points, led by 18 points from Amber Holt, 12 from Jennifer Lacy and a career-high 11 from former track star Marion Jones. Shanna Crossley, a former Indianapolis Star Miss Basketball from Wawasee, was held to five points on the night which is half her average.

The Fever will now take a break for the All-Star game being held in Connecticut this weekend.
