• Duke Tumatoe Rocks the Square on July 21st

    July 17, 2012 No comments

The sounds of blues will fill the Historic downtown square of Danville, IN as Duke Tumatoe takes the stage in the second installment of the 2012 Summer Sounds concert series.

Duke Tumatoe and the Power Trio’s performance is an authentic mix of original blues tunes. Best known for his regular performances on The Bob & Tom Show syndicated radio show, including the weekly “NFL Song”, Duke Tumatoe also tours extensively throughout the Midwest and serves as a music staple in the community by teaching guitar lessons at The Music Station in Avon, Indiana.

“Duke Tumatoe is an excellent entertainer. He really knows how to engage the audience with his unique vocals and incredible guitar playing,” explains Ben Comer, President of the Downtown Danville Partnership and chair of the concert committee. “He can really rock the house!”

Gates open at 6:30 p.m. with the show getting underway at 7:30 p.m. on the south side of the Courthouse Square. There is a $5 admission for ages 21 & over, with proceeds supporting Downtown Danville improvement projects.  Picnic table seating will be limited so guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets and sit on the south side of the Courthouse lawn, as well as along Marion Street. As a convenience to concertgoers, downtown eateries will once again set up their “Taste of the Square” food court inside the concert venue so guests can enjoy food and beverages.
