• Danville now asking residents to conserve water

    June 28, 2012 No comments

One week after the Town of Brownsburg asked residents to conserve water, the Danville Water Utility is now also asking town residents to conserve water as the hot, dry weather continues.

The utility said it has enough water to meet demand for now, but it is asking that residents not water their lawns if possible. If watering is necessary, it asks that customers south of U.S. 36 water only on odd days, and customers north of U.S. 36 water only on even days.

Residents are also asked not to wash sidewalks or driveways, to fix leaking faucets or toilets and wash full loads of clothes and dishes.

If conditions worsen, the utility said, it may institute a mandatory watering ban.
