• Construction of Brownsburg’s new water plant impacts Arbuckle Acres

    March 08, 2012 No comments

The main parking lot at Arbuckle Acres Park will close this month and shelter rentals will be restricted as construction begins on the Town of Brownsburg’s new water treatment plant.

Park visitors will not be able to park on the lot located just south of the playground. Parking along Lucas Drive and on the north side of the park’s upper level will be available. Due to the limited parking, shelters #2 and #3 will not be available for rental for the duration of the project.

Lucas Road is expected to remain open outside of a one-day closure at the start of the project, and the lower level of the park will not be impacted. While shelters #2 and #3 will be available on a first come, first serve basis only, all other Arbuckle shelters are available for rental.

Construction of the new 3.2 million gallons per day (MGD) water treatment plant is expected to take up to a year. The old water plant at Arbuckle Acres will be demolished after the new plant goes online in 2013.
