Colts Sign Top Draft Pick Hughes
August 03, 2010 No commentsJerry Hughes spent yesterday morning in an Indianapolis hotel room studying his
playbook while he anxiously awaited the word from his agent Ben Dogra that an
agreement had been made on his rookie contract with the Indianapolis Colts. When word finally came down, Hughes signed his five-year $12.6 million dollar contract
with $7 million in guarantees and quickly made his way up to Anderson to join his
teammates. After a brief warm-up, Hughes quickly was put right in to practice as he took
reps with the defense and immediately went through some drills. To make room for Hughes on the roster, the Colts waived tight end Tom Santi with an
undisclosed injury.Posted by Brian Scott in Indianapolis Colts, Local Sports
