Colts Sanders Has Arm Surgery
September 16, 2010 No commentsIndianapolis Colts safety Bob Sanders underwent surgery yesterday to repair a torn biceps tendon in his right arm, team officials announced.
Sanders, who suffered the injury in the first quarter of Sunday’s loss at Houston, “will remain on the 53-man active roster at this time as the club monitors his rehabilitation,” the team said in a news release.
No timetable has been given for the former Pro-Bowl safety’s return.
Sanders’ surgery was performed by noted sports injury specialist Dr. James Andrews.
Sanders has missed more games than he has played in his seven-year career. His suffered his latest injury in Sunday’s 34-24 loss at Houston.
