Cascade (9-2) 54, Brown County (7-3) 42 – Girls High School Basketball
December 21, 2011 No commentsKrista Powell had 16 points for the Lady Cadets and Brandyce Sallee and Sydney Stein chipped in with 15 and 13 points each as Cascade won their ninth game in a row defeating Brown County 54-42 last night.
Cascade (9-2) had a 5 point lead after the first period, but the Lady Eagles battled back to trail the visiting Cadets by 1 point at the intermission 24-23.
The Cadets outscored Brown County (7-3) 14-8 in the third quarter to lead by 7 after three and managed to stay ahead in the 4th as Cascade outscored Brown County by 10 points from the free throw line.
The Eagles were led by Sarah Brunton’s 9 points.
The Lady Cadets are now off for the Holiday’s. Their next game will not be until January 3rd when they travel to Tri-West to take on the Lady Bruins in an opening round game of the Hendricks County Tournament.
