• Cascade’s Season Ends with Shutout

    November 01, 2010 No comments

The Cascade Cadets season ended Friday night as they fell to the Greencastle Tiger Cubs by the score of 24-0 in the sectional 30 semifinal.

Greencastle used a strong rushing attack amassing 232 rushing yards with running back Jesse Vermillion accounting for 108 yards and a touchdown.

The Tiger Cubs got off to an early start thanks to an opening kickoff that sailed out of bounds by Cascade. That set up excellent field position for Greencastle as Tiger Cub quarterback Tanner Parker hit Keegan Remsberg on a 65 yard touch down pass just three plays in and with less than two minutes clicking off the game clock in the opening quarter. Greencastle had a 7-0 lead and would never look back.

For Cascade, quarterback Colin Smith finished the game going 12 of 21 for 137 yards and 2 picks. Cadet receiver Jeff Hopper went 105 yards on 6 receptions.

Cascade finished their season with a record of 4-7. Greencastle moves on to the sectional championship game where they will face an undefeated North Putnam squad.
