A late afternoon snow hampered the evening commute for travelers as the Indiana State Police answered numerous calls for service throughout the Indianapolis District on Friday February 14th. The Indianapolis District is comprised of Marion, Johnson, Shelby, Hendricks, Hancock, Hamilton and Boone counties.
Beginning Friday afternoon at 12:00 p.m. until midnight, troopers responded to 15 personal injury and 122 property damage crashes. Troopers assisted with 69 reported slide off’s that did not result in any damage. Trooper’s also responded to 99 calls for service during this time period that was not weather related.
None of the personal injury crashes was serious and no life threatening injuries were reported.
