With sectionals beginning next week, head coach Ronald Nored’s Brownsburg Bulldogs basketball team might be peaking at just the right time. The Bulldogs entered last night’s game against Decatur Central on a five-game winning streak. They faced a tough task against a Hawks team that was riding a four-game winning streak of their own and also owned an impressive 12 – 5 record heading into last night’s contest. The game would also be a preview of next week sectional opener between the Hawks and the Bulldogs that will take place at Decatur Central next Wednesday night at 7:30.

Brownsburg continued its winning ways as four players scored in double figures and the Bulldogs climbed above the .500 mark for the 1st time this season with it 6th win in a row, a 68 – 55 victory over Decatur Central.

Trevor Lucas paced the Bulldogs with 16 points, Gerald Harney had 13, Kenneth Walton had 12 and Kyle Thompson chipped in with 10 points.

The Bulldogs led by four at halftime 32 – 28 and used a strong 2nd half in route to the 13 point win.

Decatur Central had three players finish in double figures with Jason Starks leading the way with 15 points.

The Bulldogs are now 10 – 9 on the season and will play the regular-season finale tonight when they host the Perry Meridian Falcons at the Varsity Field House. Tipoff is set for 7:30.
