After eight seasons, and one magical year that culminated with a class 4A state championship, Brownsburg’s boys head basketball coach Joshua Kendrick has resigned.

Brownsburg high school athletic director Greg Hill made the announcement in a press release yesterday.

In his eight years at the helm of the Bulldogs, Kendrick compiled a 90 – 88 record that included a state championship during the 2007 – 08 season.

Kendrick is quoted in the press release saying, “The last eight years as Brownsburg’s head basketball coach has been unbelievably rewarding.” He went on to say, “while I will certainly miss coaching, this is the right decision for me, my family and for my professional career as an educator.”

Hill mentioned in the press release that he would like to have a new coach hired by the time the Brownsburg school board next meets on April 9, and that he would also like the new coach to have previous head coaching experience.
