Former Butler Basketball player and current Brownsburg Bulldogs head basketball coach Ronald Nored spoke at the NCAA Hall of Champions on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Nored read stories to Children and talked about his experience as an NCAA athlete at the Hall of Champions Monday. Visitors were admitted free of charge if they brought a canned food item.

In addition to Nored’s presentation, guests were able to learn more about NCAA Championship History through the screening of “Game of Change.” The documentary looks at the significance of basketball in the struggle for racial equality.

Nored played guard for the Butler Bulldogs from 2008-2012 and helped the Bulldogs reach back-to-back Final Fours. He graduated from Butler in 2012 with a degree in education before taking over the reins of the Brownsburg high school basketball program this season.
