Brownsburg to host its first Christmas tree decorating contest
November 09, 2012 No commentsBrownsburg residents, organizations and businesses have a new way of participating in the Town’s annual Christmas Under the Stars celebration. The Town is hosting its first tree decorating contest as part of the holiday festivities planned at Town Hall.
Similar to the popular fall Build-a-Bale contest, entrants will get a 5’ x 6’ space on the Town Hall lawn, a 6-foot evergreen tree and a tree stand to show off their creativity. Only 20 spaces are available for the tree decorating contest. The entry fee is $45 and registration ends on November 21.
The public will have the chance to vote for their favorite display online at the Town’s website, www.brownsburg.org. Voting begins on December 1 after the Brownsburg Parks Christmas Under the Stars parade. Winners will be announced on December 10 and will be recognized at the December 13 Town Council meeting.
Decorated trees will remain on display through December 31. Visit www.brownsburg.org for the Christmas Under the Stars tree decorating contest registration form and complete rules for participation. For more information, call the Town Manager’s office at 858-6072.
