• Brownsburg seeks Democrat applicants to fill Park Board vacancy

    The Town of Brownsburg is seeking applications from residents who are interested in serving on the municipality’s Park Board. The appointment will complete a term ending December 2014. In accordance with Indiana Code 36-10-3-4, the vacancy should be filled by a Democrat who resides in Town limits.

    The six-member Park Board oversees the objectives and policies for effective operation of Brownsburg Parks’ facilities and administration of recreation programs. Meetings are held regularly at 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month at Town Hall, 61 N. Green Street, unless scheduled otherwise. Park Board meetings are open to the public and live video is streamed on the internet and archived on the Town’s website.

    Residents who are interested and meet the requirements to serve on the Park Board may complete the Application for Boards and Commissions on the Town’s website, www.brownsburg.org. Applications must be submitted by 4 p.m. on Thursday, January 31 to the Town Manager’s Office, 61 N. Green Street, Brownsburg, IN 46112.
