• Brownsburg School Board Presents First ‘Higher Achievement Together’ Recognition to Local Sorority

    September 12, 2012 No comments

The Brownsburg School Board has a long history of public recognition for staff members, students and student organizations for their achievements. But the board also recognizes that the Brownsburg Community School District vision of “Higher Achievement Together” requires the support and commitment of the entire community.

Beginning with the September 10 board meeting, a certificate of appreciation will be presented to a community group, individual, business or organization that exemplifies the spirit of “Higher Achievement Together” through their support of Brownsburg Schools, students and staff.

On Monday evening, the Gamma Nu Chapter of Psi Iota Xi sorority received this first-of-its-kind certificate of appreciation from Board President Kim Armstrong and Superintendent Dr. Jim Snapp for their many years of financial contributions to BCSC media centers, performing arts programs and student scholarships. Psi Iota Xi is a national philanthropic and cultural organization that actively supports the fields of speech and hearing, as well as the arts. Accepting the award were Chapter President Rita Birlson and member Taryn Mason.
