• Brownsburg Plan Commission to hold public meeting on ordinance changes

    March 08, 2012 No comments

Brownsburg’s Advisory Plan Commission will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14 to discuss the proposed zoning ordinance and map. This meeting is one in a series that will take public comments on the ordinance before it is finalized and presented to Town Council for adoption later this year.

The proposed zoning ordinance establishes new districts for churches, parks and mixed-use. It addresses a number of circumstances that aren’t adequately addressed in the existing ordinance, with the goal of reducing red tape. Town staff members expect the new document to be more user-friendly for the public and a better tool for them to provide assistance. The latest draft is available on the Town website at www.brownsburg.org.
